Andy began his career in banking in 1986 and relocated to London in 1990 to move into corporate advisory and restructuring with a top-twenty firm of accountants. He qualified as an accountant in 1997 and obtained the JIEB qualification in 1998.
In 1993, Andy joined a boutique restructuring practice in London that was acquired by Tenon Group Plc in 2001. After 10 years with Tenon, based in London and the South coast, Andy co-founded BM Advisory in March 2011.
With wide-ranging advisory and commercial experience, Andy has extensive expertise spanning a range of industries including, amongst others, retail, manufacturing, media, professional practices and the licensed trade.
Mike began his career in corporate advisory and restructuring in 1989 when he joined BDO Stoy Hayward in Central London. He obtained the CPI qualification with distinction and passed the JIEB qualification in 2000.
Mike then joined a practice in London where he helped to grow the business, before moving to a top-twenty firm as Partner in 2009. In March 2011, Mike co-founded BM Advisory.
Mike has advised companies ranging from owner managed businesses to listed companies across a number of industry sectors including, amongst others, retail, manufacturing and property.
Richard began his career in accountancy in 1999 when he joined Deloitte in Birmingham. He is a qualified accountant and passed the JIEB qualification in 2007. Richard was a key member of the Midlands restructuring team leading primarily bank-led advisory and formal insolvency engagements and spent time on secondment to the restructuring team at Barclays Bank Plc and to Deloitte Australia.
In early 2014, Richard joined BM Advisory to head up its Gatwick and Worthing offices.
Richard is experienced in all facets of insolvency and restructuring of corporates of all sizes, including managing, restructuring, funding, selling and closing businesses. His expertise lies in providing timely, commercial, and strategic advice to distressed businesses and stakeholders.
Julie is a qualified accountant and joined BM Advisory in March 2013, bringing extensive financial advisory and corporate restructuring experience gained both in the UK and Australia. This includes over 8 years in the restructuring services team at Deloitte. In 2009, she obtained the Insolvency Practitioners of Australia qualification.
Julie has significant and varied exposure to all sizes of business and industries, with a particular focus on distressed businesses and assets.
Adam joined BM Advisory in May 2015 having previously been an Associate Director in the Advisory Restructuring practice of Grant Thornton, dealing with both insolvency and restructuring assignments.
In 2011 Adam was seconded to the Special Management Team of RBS Invoice Finance for 12 months as a relationship manager dealing directly with a portfolio of cases experiencing financial problems.
Adam has significant restructuring and insolvency experience across a range of industries and obtained the JIEB qualification in 2008.
Andrew started his career in insolvency in 2000 at Levy Gee in Worthing before moving to Tenon plc where he particularly enjoyed working on public interest cases involving boiler room frauds. Andrew has extensive experience of a mixed portfolio of cases covering all aspects of corporate and personal work, with a particular interest in investigations and complex litigation.
In 2009, Andrew qualified as an insolvency practitioner. He joined BM Advisory in August 2018 and is based in our Gatwick office.
Marcus joined BM Advisory in 2013 to manage the Worthing office. He was previously Managing Director at NancollasGreer, a boutique firm specialising in personal insolvency solutions including IVAs, Bankruptcy and Debt Relief Orders, as well as less formal arrangements such as Debt Management and Time To Pay Arrangements.
Prior to his insolvency career, Marcus spent many years advising and assisting companies with the acquisition and development of property portfolios, specialising in the licensed trade.
Simon joined BM Structured Finance in November 2013, having worked in the asset based lending industry both in the UK and Australia. Simon has held senior positions in Risk, Operations and Sales in some of the major Asset Based Lenders, and was part of the senior management team that successfully sold Westpac’s Invoice Finance division in 2008.
Simon was also a shareholder and director of the leading UK broking company, Factoring UK, which was sold to Bibby Financial Services and set up an Invoice Finance company for Allianz.
